Cold Rolled Sheet Price in China Up 0.9% to USD 566.24/tonne
Cold rolled sheet in China edged higher over the week, with supply-side curbs and rising coking costs supporting mill prices.
Cold rolled sheet prices in China stood at USD 566.24/tonne as of 2026-09-04, up 0.9% from USD 560.94/tonne on 2026-08-28. The monthly change was +1.7% from USD 557.04/tonne on 2026-08-05. The quarter change was -0.7% from USD 570.16/tonne on 2026-06-05, while the year change stood at +6.4% from USD 532.16/tonne on 2025-09-04.
According to Shanghai Metals Market, steel mill cold-rolled production schedules decreased by 2.5% in August compared to the previous month. The same source reported on 2026-09-01 that China's steel mills brought 17 blast furnaces under new maintenance during August, reducing daily hot metal output.
Shanghai Metals Market also reported on 2026-09-07 that coke and coking coal prices strengthened in late August, increasing cost support for steel product prices.
Over the past 52 weeks, cold rolled sheet in China reached a high of USD 575.03/tonne on 2026-05-22 and a low of USD 519.32/tonne on 2025-09-11.
