Coffee Price in Brazil Falls 21.7% to USD 5,393/tonne
Brazilian coffee has fallen 21.7% over the week, month and quarter to USD 5,393/tonne, its lowest level in 52 weeks.
Coffee in Brazil was quoted at USD 5,393/tonne as of 2026-09-04, a decline of 21.7% from USD 6,891/tonne on 2026-01-28. The price is down 23.1% from USD 7,016/tonne a year earlier. The 52-week high stands at USD 7,446/tonne on 2025-09-15, and the latest quote matches the 52-week low set on 2026-09-04.
Supply conditions have shaped the recent period. According to Cepea, rainfall delayed the Brazilian harvest and drying of Arabica beans, restricting export supply. Barchart reported that Brazil's Cooxupe co-op had completed 81.1% of the coffee harvest as of August 14.
Certified stocks on the exchange are tight. Barchart reported that ICE-certified Arabica inventories fell to a 2.75-year low of 227,992 bags on August 21.
Logistics and trade measures have also featured. Comunicaffe reported that Brazil's export warehouses reached capacity, slowing the commercialization of the new crop. Cecafé reported on 2026-08-12 that the United States lifted tariffs on imports of Brazilian instant coffee.
