Coconut shell charcoal prices in India stood at USD 1,096/tonne as of 2026-09-19, up 0.3% from USD 1,093/tonne on 2026-09-12. Over the month the price rose 6.9% from USD 1,025/tonne on 2026-08-15, and over the quarter it gained 13.3% from USD 967.00/tonne on 2026-06-20. On a yearly basis the price is up 14.8% from USD 955.00/tonne on 2025-09-13.

The latest quote matches the 52-week high of USD 1,096/tonne recorded on 2026-09-12. The 52-week low is USD 911.00/tonne, set on 2026-03-14.

According to the Activated Carbon Manufacturers Association of India, the association began issuing monthly indicative coconut shell prices on 2026-09-07 with the aim of regulating market volatility. The same body reported that the ongoing West Asia conflict has increased ocean freight costs and reduced export container availability.

Separately, Chemical Industry Digest reported on 2026-09-30 that industry representatives noted a rise in lower-priced coconut shell charcoal imports from Sri Lanka.
