Chloroform Price in China Rises 1.5% to USD 360.45/tonne
Chloroform in China edged higher over the week and stands 38.7% above its level a year ago.
Chloroform in China was quoted at USD 360.45/tonne on 2026-10-02, up 1.5% from USD 355.02/tonne on 2026-09-25. The price has risen 14.5% over the month from USD 314.91/tonne on 2026-09-02 and 18.3% over the quarter from USD 304.75/tonne on 2026-07-03. On a yearly basis it is up 38.7% from USD 259.85/tonne on 2025-10-02.
The 52-week high stands at USD 424.70/tonne on 2026-04-10 and the 52-week low at USD 233.85/tonne on 2025-11-05.
Supply-side developments have shaped the quarter. According to ChemNet, Dongying Huatai Chemical restarted its 160,000-ton methane chloride unit on July 1, 2026, following maintenance. Incheechem reported on 2026-09-14 that major production bases in Shandong and East China initiated concentrated equipment maintenance and technical transformations in Q3 2026.
More recently, Allway Chemical reported on 2026-09-24 that Jinling Dawang reduced the operating load of its 240,000-ton/year unit to approximately 60% by late September 2026. The weekly quotation of USD 360.45/tonne on 2026-10-02 followed that reduction in operating load.
