Cardamom in India was quoted at USD 35,908/tonne as of 2026-10-01, down 0.8% from USD 36,213/tonne on 2026-09-24. Over the month the price fell 2.1% from USD 36,682/tonne on 2026-09-01. The quarterly movement remains positive, with the price up 5.3% from USD 34,112/tonne on 2026-07-03.
The 52-week range runs from a high of USD 37,792/tonne on 2026-07-27 to a low of USD 30,584/tonne on 2026-06-12.
Supply conditions in the growing regions have shaped the price path this quarter. According to The Hindu, El Niño caused a 55% monsoon rainfall deficit in Idukki by 2026-07-14, leading to production decline expectations. The same source reported that cardamom prices surpassed ₹3,000 per kg in July 2026 due to production concerns and eased West Asia tensions.
