Bronze Price in Germany Falls 2.1% to USD 19,749/tonne
Bronze on the German market slipped week on week but remains far above year-ago levels amid German steel production disruptions.
Bronze in Germany was quoted at USD 19,749/tonne as of 2026-10-01, down 2.1% from USD 20,165/tonne on 2026-09-24. The month change stands at -0.5% from USD 19,854/tonne on 2026-09-01, while the quarter change is +6.4% from USD 18,557/tonne on 2026-07-03.
The year change is +38.2%, up from USD 14,292/tonne on 2025-10-01, which was also the 52-week low. The 52-week high was USD 20,427/tonne on 2026-08-17.
On the supply side, EUROMETAL reported that HKM permanently shut down blast furnace A in Duisburg on September 19, 2026. EUROMETAL also reported that ArcelorMittal partially halted production at its Eisenhüttenstadt strip mill due to blast furnace irregularities on September 29, 2026. Both developments concern German production capacity.
On the policy side, BVSE reported on 2026-09-24 that the European Commission proposed scrap export restrictions that may cause domestic oversupply by May 2027. Secondary metal availability in Germany could therefore be affected over the period ahead.
