Bisphenol A Price in China Rises 2.3% to USD 1,417/tonne
Bisphenol A in China firmed week on week but remains below its level of a month ago, with supply curbs from plant maintenance supporting the quarterly gain.
Bisphenol A in China was quoted at USD 1,417/tonne as of 2026-09-03, up 2.3% from USD 1,385/tonne on 2026-08-27. The monthly change stands at -1.9%, from USD 1,444/tonne on 2026-08-04, while the quarter change is +12.2%, from USD 1,262/tonne on 2026-06-05. On an annual basis the price is up 30.6%, from USD 1,085/tonne on 2025-09-03.
Supply has tightened through the period. Mysteel reported on 2026-06-29 that China BPA output hit a half-year low of 366,700 tonnes in June due to plant maintenance. On 2026-07-15, Mysteel reported that prolonged industry-wide losses forced 960,000 t/y of BPA capacity under maintenance in July.
Producer pricing has also moved. ChemPriceHub reported on 2026-07-24 that Nantong Xingchen raised its BPA quotation by 200 yuan/ton to 10,200 yuan/ton.
Outages continued into August. OilChem reported on 2026-08-21 that at least eight BPA units representing 1.8 million t/y capacity went offline or into maintenance in August. Over the past 52 weeks the price reached a high of USD 1,787/tonne on 2026-03-09 and a low of USD 997.13/tonne on 2025-11-18.
