Ammonium Sulfate Price in China Rises 1.8% to USD 166.19/tonne
Ammonium sulfate in China edged higher over the week even as the quarterly decline deepened to 25.2%.
Ammonium sulfate in China was priced at USD 166.19/tonne as of 2026-09-03, an increase of 1.8% from USD 163.19/tonne on 2026-08-27. The weekly gain came despite a broader downward trend across recent months.
The monthly comparison stands at minus 3.5%, with the price down from USD 172.25/tonne on 2026-08-04. Over the quarter, the fall is larger at 25.2%, measured against USD 222.20/tonne on 2026-06-05.
The yearly picture differs. The current price is 13.1% above the USD 146.94/tonne recorded on 2025-09-03, and well above the 52-week low of USD 132.63/tonne set on 2025-09-26. The 52-week high of USD 286.90/tonne was reached on 2026-05-14.
On the policy side, China's General Administration of Customs confirmed that mandatory inspection requirements for ammonium sulfate exports were officially added to the catalogue of regulated goods effective July 16, 2026. The requirement applies to exports from China, the market covered by this price series, and forms part of the regulatory backdrop to trade in the commodity.
