Ammonium nitrate in China was quoted at USD 618.98/tonne as of 2026-10-01, up 0.1% from USD 618.24/tonne on 2026-09-24 and up 0.3% from USD 617.35/tonne on 2026-09-01. Over the quarter the price fell 3.1% from USD 638.51/tonne on 2026-07-03, while on a yearly basis it is up 24.1% from USD 498.62/tonne on 2025-10-01. The 52-week high of USD 642.35/tonne was recorded on 2026-06-16 and the 52-week low of USD 497.20/tonne on 2025-10-14.

Claight market monitoring shows that domestic prices remained stable throughout August 2026 because of lacklustre downstream demand from the civil explosives and fertilizer sectors.

According to Claight market monitoring, ongoing customs export controls on fertilizer products have suppressed overseas sales and contributed to weak market sentiment. The same source reports that upstream raw material prices for nitric acid and liquid ammonia remained stable or saw only minor fluctuations, providing no upward cost pressure.

Against this background, the weekly and monthly gains have been small, and the price remains within the range set by the June high and the October low of the past year.
