Acrylonitrile prices in China stood at USD 1,608/tonne as of 2026-10-01, a fall of 1.3% from USD 1,629/tonne a week earlier. The month change stands at -5.4%, from USD 1,701/tonne on 2026-09-01. Over the quarter the price is up 10.9% from USD 1,450/tonne on 2026-07-03, and the year change is +43.4% from USD 1,121/tonne on 2025-10-01. The 52-week high is USD 1,795/tonne, recorded on 2026-08-21, and the 52-week low is USD 1,012/tonne from 2026-02-10.
Supply conditions tightened during August. According to CCFGroup, Lihuayi and Jieyang units shut down for equipment failure on July 29, 2026. ECHEMI reported that Zhejiang Petrochemical's 520,000-ton unit reduced load to 70% due to failure on August 14, 2026. ECHEMI data also showed China's acrylonitrile industry capacity utilization dropped to 64.33% during August 14-20, 2026.
That tightness has since eased. CCFGroup reported that domestic acrylonitrile prices fell 500 yuan/mt by September 20, 2026, due to supply recovery. The weekly and monthly declines in the latest quote are consistent with that loosening, even as the year-on-year comparison remains well above the level of October 2025. The most recent movement is the -1.3% week change to USD 1,608/tonne.
