Claight market monitoring shows that Xinjiang Tianzhichenye Chemical Co., Ltd. temporarily shut down its 130,000-ton/year BDO unit during the week of August 27.
According to CCFGroup, logistical issues in southern Xinjiang slowed both backhaul and outbound BDO cargo transport throughout Q3, resulting in insufficient market arrivals.
ChinaTexnet.com reported that calcium carbide and methanol prices accelerated their rally in September, compressing BDO profit margins and increasing producer loss-making pressure. Separately, 100ppi reported that Xinjiang Lanshan Tunhe Energy Co., Ltd. set its October BDO list price at 10,000-10,200 yuan/ton, an increase of over 1,300 yuan/ton from September.
