Global commercial aircraft deliveries in May 2026 surged to 142 units, a 45% year-over-year increase, while single-aisle deliveries jumped 160%. This rapid expansion has pushed the combined Airbus and Boeing order backlog to an all-time high of 16,909 aircraft, representing roughly 12 years of continuous manufacturing.
